ABOUT PAM
Get to Know Me
I bring close to 20 years of combined experience in clinical settings, public health and policy, and entrepreneurship, all aimed at creating positive change in the healthcare system. My work in mental health innovation has been recognized nationally, and I’m honored to have been named one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women, recognized within my profession and as a leader in my organization.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked across various sectors in senior roles, engaging with diverse populations in community, acute care, and specialty health services across public and private markets. Currently, I serve as an Advisor to the Well Home and Well Institute (IWBI), focusing on how physical and social environments impact human health, well-being, and performance.
I maintain a part-time private practice as a Clinician and IFS-trained Psychotherapist, specializing in workplace burnout, fertility and reproductive issues, and trauma therapy. See more here.
Previously, I was the Vice President of Experience and Product at Numinus Wellness, a mental wellness company based in British Columbia, where I led the product and innovation team. In 2018, I co-founded a medical cannabis manufacturing company focused on new product development.
As the Chief Innovation Officer at the Institute for Advancements in Mental Health (IAM), I led their innovation platform, aiming to "redesign society for better mental health" by establishing an incubator, accelerator, and prize challenge model to advance mental health solutions in Canada. My background also includes roles at a Toronto-based health design firm and several advisory and technical positions with the World Health Organization, Ministry of Health, and the UNLeash innovation lab for SDGs.
I completed the award-winning DiverseCity Fellowship and am a member of the Banff Forum. I hold degrees from the University of British Columbia, the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health, and a Master in Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCADU.
A few fun facts…
I grew up on the West coast, and spend a lot of my time exploring the world.
I made a documentary film in 2014 on the organ-transplant experience, and in my spare time, you can find me crocheting with wool, on a potter’s wheel or crafting with textiles.
